A good reblue and more polishing and it's a model 12 without a serial number or lettering for that matter. We know that they are a model 12 that someone "made" a front end for, from spare parts.Īs far as the receiver itself, a competent metal worker or gunsmith could file, buff and completely polish every bit of numbering and lettering off of a model 12 so it could not bee seen with the naked eye.
